10# Foothills

The foothills are a wild place. At night I can see fires dashing over the grass far in the distance, and pouring over the lip of the mountain, but when I approach the grass is green and the mountain is as un-lava-y as ever. The winds blow so strongly but the trees do not shake and lights glitter in the woods. I've set up camp outside Warlic's tent. It is nighttime right now, my lamp is burning low and I can hear the frogs singing so loudly I really can't sleep. Plus some strange music coming from Nythera's little tent.

Warlic is an epic mage. I've seen him teaching Nythera in the distance and I've come close to watch and his magic is so powerful, but I can see how he's restraining himself. He's sad, too, when you get close. But when I approached him to discuss the dragon eggs he gave me his full attention immediately. Clueing me in to the fact that I'm in a story of legendary proportions. The Black Dragon Box had the egg that could destroy all mankind. But I need to be a Dragonlord. I know I can change it.

This note is so much more serious but I'm really in a serious mood now. The White Dragon Box holds the egg that will save all mankind. But no one knows where it is. I have four eggs now, three Vultragon and one dragon egg, and they're sitting across from me. They're all smooth and dark ruby red with black poxes on them, and the light scatters across them magically. But only one is actually magical. Warlic has a method to find out which one is which. It involves summoning a a Doom-creature that is able to detect it, and then banishing it before it is able to eat the egg. Warlic assures me my weapons won't be strong enough to kill it and I'm not about to risk my egg getting swallowed. I need a water weapon, because apparently Doom animals don't like it. Or this one doesn't. So I'm staking out here while I help Warlic out with his jobs that he's willing to pay me for, mainly because I want loot and I hesitate to bring the eggs back to Falconreach, where they'll be so easily stolen.

I rushed my last note. The mission was pretty cool. I myself got to finish King Splurt. Rolith paid me handsomely for that. I  like  him. He's so cool. I've learned so many more moves with his training. It's been wicked to put my armor to the test, too. Sir V has been handling most of my payment tho b/c he's in charge of the Sneevil and Vurr-men initiatives to clear out west Maguswood and Oaklore. I've led some missions and helped out at the V-men camp with Sir Vey for some lovely payment Found this note in the Mollo serum "First shipment arrived. We are interested in Mollo Mind Serum. Will purchase rest of the fruit for your asking price. Will be in touch. Sepulcher." ??? back home there was so much less crime

I met the "Ghost" outside the gates. Anyway, that's what the Guards have him nicknamed. He called me powerful and told me I was very interesting to him. And offered me scary Doom weapons. None of which I could afford. But it did boost my self-esteem. I also talked to a Guardian who hailed me by name. He said everyone knows who I am, "you slew the hydra on Arborvale Bridge!" Which explains why I keep getting greeted so warmly. This is awesome. I also checked out the Falconreach Zoo and it was SO COOL. I had no idea monsters could even been kept in cages, and to get to view all the things I hurt in the wild get good looks and learn about them, was fantastic. FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. Most of them I'd never even seen. The undead ones were my favorite. I even helped out with containing some of the Zoo animals when the enchantments failed.

So it's been 2 weeks since I arrived at Oaklore. I finally talked to the Dragonlord. He's got a wealth of experience, gorgeous armor, a scary dragon and he was knighted by King Alteon himself. The highlight was getting to ride his freaking dragon! It was high above the sky, and Glumbert seemed to like me, his massive wings beating. It felt so natural, so right, to take monsters out from the great dragon back. Actually, it didn't. It hurt, I couldn't steer, and I got bounced up and down and I barely took out any monsters with the bombs. But being a Dragonlord would be  so  cool. However, Bombard wouldn't take out the hydra for me. So I DID IT MY FREAKING SELF!!!! Okay, so, the first time I took it on I got butchered, right? Sir Pent was watching and I could hear him laughing from half a mile away. But I got knocked out and he dragged me back to the Keep where Sir J fixed me right up (he's my favorite knight, gotta be honest, behind Rolith). Rolith said N...
