So it's been 2 weeks since I arrived at Oaklore. I finally talked to the Dragonlord. He's got a wealth of experience, gorgeous armor, a scary dragon and he was knighted by King Alteon himself. The highlight was getting to ride his freaking dragon! It was high above the sky, and Glumbert seemed to like me, his massive wings beating. It felt so natural, so right, to take monsters out from the great dragon back.
Actually, it didn't. It hurt, I couldn't steer, and I got bounced up and down and I barely took out any monsters with the bombs. But being a Dragonlord would be so cool.
However, Bombard wouldn't take out the hydra for me.
So I DID IT MY FREAKING SELF!!!!
Okay, so, the first time I took it on I got butchered, right? Sir Pent was watching and I could hear him laughing from half a mile away. But I got knocked out and he dragged me back to the Keep where Sir J fixed me right up (he's my favorite knight, gotta be honest, behind Rolith). Rolith said NO, let the Guardians handle it, don't go near Hydrahok again. Um, I'm a famous Rogue. I took out probably a whole legion of Sneevils for you. I can handle this. and I DID!!! After I got knocked out I was so depressed I ordered a "super-duper"-sized Doomburger AND chocolate cake, but it must have helped me think. I rested by the fountain in the keep. Apparently all fountains have unnatural powers, because somehow I was able to come up with my first piece of battle strategy other than slash-and-whack.
I can see what Rolith was trying to teach me about strategy now.
So I'm writing this from the inn in Falconreach. It's a beautiful city. Just what everyone said. Magically diverse. I'm pretty sure I even saw an elf. You wouldn't see this back home. Greengard is all human. But I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired. I need to sleep . . . but this town is amazing. The Guardians were right there when I walked in. This town is going to be so cool to explore.Apparently there is a portal in the park that works only after dark. but not for me tonight.
anyway, I'm not finished in Oaklore yet. The castle still owes me money, so I'm making the trip back there tomorrow. but gn for now.
